Alyssa has a BFA from Kendall College of Art & Design, where she earned a degree in Fashion Studies and won the Studio Excellence Award for her cohort. After working as a fashion stylist, occasional model, then as a sommelier and wine buyer, she earned her MFA in Creative Writing & Literature from the Bennington Writing Seminars in 2023. She writes fiction.
Her writing often focuses on femininity, relationships, health and illness, and landscape as character.

She writes a Substack called a body of work about making art and getting dressed.
She grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and currently lives in the metro Detroit area—making her an avid Wolverines, Pistons, Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings fan, of course.
